Verdura’s legacy began with Coco Chanel. Vivienne Becker, famed jewellery historian, wrote that Verdura’s Maltese Cross Cuffs changed the history of modern jewellery. Verdura famously set precious and semi-precious coloured stones in 18ct yellow gold breaking the tradition of platinum and diamond jewellery. Today the jewellery remains as popular today as it was in Fulco’s heyday.
